A unique Ochberg Fellowship 2023 is a 22nd seminar program for those individuals and journalists who want to enhance their knowledge. The journalist deepen their knowledge of emotional trauma and improve reporting on conflict, tragedy and physiological injury. The main aim of this seminar will report street crime, family violence, social upheaval, accidental war, natural disasters, and pandemics. The Ochberg Fellowship together the world outstanding journalists from all around the globe. The fellowship was established with the help of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies in 1999.

Fellows around the world can attend the Dart Center Ochberg Fellowship in 2023. The seminar will be held at Columbia University, located in New York. The seminar will be a weeklong program that explores the critical issues in society through the talented journalists of the world. In 1999, the Columbia University Graduate school of Journalism started the Ochberg Fellowship with the help of “Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma”. The journalists must be proficient in English because the program is in the English language. Both journalists and freelancers could be eligible to apply for this fellowship program
in 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

  •  The fellowships are open to outstanding journalists from all around the world.
  • The journalist must have 5 years of experience while applying for the Ochberg Fellowship.
  • Journalists are eligible to apply
  • Freelancers are also eligible to apply for the Fellowship program.
  • The applicant must demonstrate that the journalists work properly.
  • A strong record of covering trauma
  • Trauma effect on families, individuals and society
  • The Fellowship is open to digital reporters, photographers, editors and producers with minimum five years of professional journalism field
  •  Minimum half of Fellows based in North America, including Latin America, Europe, the Asia Pacific region, Africa and the Middle East
  • The thoughtful journalists will be required to apply
  • Leadership in career journalism is also required.
